More landlord bluster

My July 31 post appears, slightly altered, in today's Winnipeg Free Press letters section.
So does another letter from the landlord side, this one telling us if you want to have a companion animal in your life you should just buy a house. Simple as that. In other words, a great big "Fuck you" to the poor.
Still no word on why Manitoba can't have a pet-friendly tenancy law like Ontario's. Just more bluster about how it would be ruinous to show compassion.
Someone I know lives in a block where management won't even allow goldfish. Apparently, that's the policy for every building under that particular property management company.
It's sheer arrogance.
To quote Bruce Cockburn: "The tenants get the dregs and landlords get the cream."
