Obama on health

In last week's McCain-Obama debate, Obama referred to his mother's tragic story to make a compelling case for health care as a right, not a privilege.
Obama's health-care plan for the United States isn't nearly as good as the system Canadians already enjoy and have been enjoying for decades, but it would certainly be an improvement compared to what Yankees have now.
I wonder how many Canadians are aware of Prime Minister Harper's background as head of the National Citizens' Coalition, which was founded to oppose medicare and remains opposed to it.
