Reading a discussion thread at a science blog, I came across a link to a recent news release from the World Meteorological Organization which says this:
"The decade of the 2000s (2000–2009) was warmer than the decade spanning the 1990s (1990–1999), which in turn was warmer than the 1980s (1980–1989)."
So next time some asshat tells you "Well anyway, scientists are seeing global cooling these days," you have good cause to tell him that's bullshit and he's an asshat. Or something like that.

Yeah, I realize nothing will get the AGW denialists to change their minds. This post was just me venting a little. It felt good. Or at least 'OK'.
