If there's just one thing I've learned from self-help psychology, it's that there must be something wrong with you if you don't think there's something wrong with you. Seriously. You say you have no problems? I say you're in denial.

That's a wise statement, Stimpson. I do volunteer work in a prison and assisting a therapist in a group for former prisoners. The "criminal thinking errors" I help teach them to avoid are mislabled. They are errors that most of us commit regularly without even realizing it. I have observed that the more extreme one's views are, the more thinking errors dominate their attitudes.
Seriously. You say you have no problems?
Its a good thing I don't go into the self-help stuff since I like to wallow in my oddity.
Beach, craziness is clearly a prerequisite to sanity. ;-)
Beach and Tom, I'd say pop psychology is very clear: There's something wrong with each of us, every person in the world. We're in codependent relationships, we have compulsive or addictive tendencies, our inner children are bawling, etc. We are all basket cases. But Oprah can help us all.
Stimpson I know I am a basket case. I could be several basket cases. But what the hell I can sing....
I can't even play the guitar...or anything else...
Nice brief and this post helped me alot in my college assignement. Thank you for your information.

Stimpson, you forgot that we are all the product of improper potty training. ;-)
