I would say Collapse is the better of the two. Guns is a bit of a tough slog; Collapse is easier to follow and just as profound. And I read Collapse first, so you can't say I found it easier to read because I was already familiar with Diamond's perspective.

imo; he wrote two excellent books. Guns Germs, Steel, and Collapse. He is a man that should be listened to.
