SUNDAY FUNNY: Offence and sensibility

Isn't it amazing how people who say the most insensitive and hateful things can be incredibly sensitive about four-letter words? That's quite a combination of personality traits, being a jerk and a prude.

Such hyper-sensitivity to "four-letter words" yet having a completely ridiculous and closed-mind world view is yet another reason why I have serious questions about the nature of human intelligence.

My point is that on many levels people have some idea that their version of reality is the true one. I'll pick on my in-laws for a good example. To them people who don't live exactly like they do and do the same thing can't possibly have a happy and productive life. They are totally lost and befuddled that people could live a different way.

Such a lack of empathy and understanding from them and many other people over a whole spectrum of viewpoints is a curious flaw in all people.
